    Chris has specialized in Wildland-Urban Interface Fire Management for over 30 years. Chris started his fire career in 1987 working with both the White River National Forest and the Colorado State Forest Service on a wildland hand crew. When not on fires, he was charged with pre-planning for approximately 1,100 subdivisions for wildland fire hazards and developing mitigation plans to reduce wildfire impacts throughout Colorado. Chris became Colorado’s first county-level Wildland Fire Coordinator in Summit County in 1990. He has worked within Planning and Building Departments as the wildfire mitigation specialist, as well as a career and volunteer structural and wildland fire fighter. Chris specializes in fire behavior modeling, fire planning and the development of underwriting tools for insurance.
